Ravit Hecht (1980) is an Israeli journalist and publicist, working at the daily Ha’aretz since 2010, where she has a regular column in the opinion section on political affairs and where she regularly comments on politics, society and culture.
Prior to her current position, Hecht has worked as editor of the opinion section, as deputy editor of the opinion section, and editor of the Ha’aretz editorial articles. Over the course of her career, she has worked as editor and correspondent in a variety of media outlets in Israel including Channel 2 News, Walla News! and Yedioth Ahronoth.
Furthermore she has worked as a screenwriter in drama series such as “Until the Wedding” and “Blue Natalie”.
She is a graduate of the Sam Spiegel Film and Television School and was part of the IDF weekly newspaper BaMahane (In the base camp) during her military service.
