Petra Carlsson

 

Petra Carlsson (1974) is a pastor of the Lutheran Church of Sweden and teaches systematic theology at the Stockholm School of Theology. Her doctoral dissertation was published in book form in English in the USA under the title 'Mysticism as Revolt: Foucault, Deleuze and Theology beyond Representation' (Aurora: The Davies Group, 2014). Her second book is 'Foucault, Art, and Radical Theology: The Mystery of Things' (London: Routledge, 2018). Her third book analyzes the spiritual and theological aspects of the work of Russian constructivist, supremacist, and cubo-futurist artist Liubov Popova (1889-1924), drawing on Walter Benjamin, Donna Haraway, Gilles Deleuze, and Vitor Westhelle, among others. She is also interested in questions of ecclesiology and ecclesial identity and practice.
