Michael Schaeffer Omer-Man

Michael Omer-Man is a US-American journalist and writer living in Jaffa, Israel. Since 2006, he has been studying Israeli society, its politics, the conflict and the region at large. Michael has a degree in Conflict Resolution and Middle East Studies from IDC Herzliya. His writings have been published by various media outlets both online and in print. He is the managing editor of +972 Magazine and previously worked as the news desk manager for The Jerusalem Post‘s online edition.
At Notes From a Conflicted Land, Michael provides a view of Israel, the conflict, and the Middle East at-large that is greatly influenced by US-American political thought, an intimate familiarity with Israeli society, and a highly critical view of all of the above.
